BYBrs, Millers & their Websites
Dec 13 2007, 8:36 PM EST
I thought starting a thred about websites would be good helpful information. An FYI would be never judge a breeder by their site ! I have a few pointers on how to read a website, but I can't think of all on the top of my head. I'll sort though and add them later. Until then, it would be interesting to see what others look for on a website that would raise a "red flag".

Great thought! A few things that I look for as "red flags" is when they say either "cash only", or they take credit cards/PayPal from one computer to the other. They never even meet the potential buyer, nor do they care to.Pictures of dogs "all dolled up" is another one for me. Don't put them in clothes, but show me their "Best in Breed" picture....that is what means something. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

No health checks or pedigrees are a red flag to me. Shipping is also, although I know some people disagree with me there.

When it comes to shipping, at least on my end (when I would ship), I didn't charge a flat rate. I personally called the airline, got a quote, then sent the pup C.O.D....that way they knew exactly what they were paying, and knew it wasn't going into my pocket. Now, that doesn't make me better than anyone, but that is just the way I did it. :) Do you find this valuable? |
