No Such Thing
Let me be the first to say, there is NO SUCH THING as a "designer dog". Think I'm wrong? Go to the AKC website and look for your "designer dog" on their list of registered breeds. You will NOT find anything ending in "oodle" or "poo". The only "oodle" you'll find is the Poodle. "Yorkiepoos", "Labradoodles", "Puggles", and any other silly name is just that, a SILLY NAME. People that breed these dogs are scammers. They are praying on you for your money. Any good, ethical breeder will not risk the health of their champion dogs to breed them to another breed. It doesn't happen. The people that breed these dogs are either PuppyMills, BYBs, or people looking to make a quick buck off of uneducated people. Purchasing one of these dogs not only will cost you half of your life savings, but will also cost you the rest of that in medical bills because these dogs are riddled with problems. Have you tried contacting the people that bred these dogs and asked for their support in raising your pup? Chances are, they aren't available. They don't want to hear about your problems, nor do they care. Your dog is sick? "Not when he left here he wasn't" Give your money back? "Sorry, no refunds" Or how about this one..."The number you have reached has been disconnected or is no longer in service." HA!! How about that for an "ethical breeder"? Trust me, when it comes to people who breed these dogs, words like "ethical", and "honest" are nowhere in their vocabulary.
There are also no such things as "Teacup...." anything. For the same reasons as mentioned already, these poor dogs were made popular by some celebrities who wanted a "fashion accessory". People, these dogs are not a cute little accessory you put in your purse. Dogs require responsibility, and as small as these dogs are, they require twice as much.
Please, if you do nothing else but read this site, do your research before buying a puppy. Read the page Puppy Mills and Backyard Breeders. Also, go to your local shelter and see just how many of these mixed breeds are there, waiting for a good home.
